Thanks. I didn't even know it was issued on cd. You don't really hear about Smokey's albums much outside his songs with the Miracles.

Yeah, you really don't. You kinda just have to know. "A Quiet Storm" was released in the initial glut of Motown reissues around 1990 or so. Motown, in general, has been rather difficult to deal with as far as CD reissues are concerned.

Anyway, I believe the version on Amazon is the original 1991 reissue. If it is, I have it and it sounds great.

DC, I have this as well. Like you I searched for this a couple of years ago I didn't realize that the Cd had been released.

That's been on CD for years. Coincidentally, it's the only solo CD availible from his 73-87 Motown days. Darn shame. Where There's Smoke used to be availible, Warm Thoughts never was and that Solo Anthology just isn't enough.
