Is any one other then me tired of this whole Tiger Woods saga ? The media has taken this to the max. Now here comes big mouth, meida whore Gloria Allred.
What do these people want from the man ? This should be between Tiger and his wife and he owes no one an apology but her. Every one of those women knew he was married and it didnt matter then but now they want an apology ?
When your a entertainer or (pro or amateur) athlete you have to fight the women off. I played ball in Ireland and had to change rooms three times because of the women . My wife and i still laugh about a woman in Vagas coming to our room saying she would to take on both of us.
When it's raining whores, it's hard not to get wet.

I'm not so much tired of Tiger as I am of the media. I felt that Tiger did the right thing by disappearing and not saying anything but the media won't leave him alone. Finally he apologizes, no that is not enough Eek! He won't take questions, he is not sincere, his body language was not good, he didn't ask for forgiveness....Blah,Blah, Blah.........Nothing he could have done would satisfied them. The "other women" wanting an apology is laughable. Gloria is fronting the "apology card" because she wants money for her client.

Any man in a power position or a position of visibility has groupies. I don't care what it is, as you say, the "whores" are out there. Being in a singing group I don't have to tell you about the available ladies.......it speaks for itself Big Laugh

Dammit! I must say the word "whore" is in fashion nowadays.
Big Laugh
There is one thing, though. Tiger is the mother-whore in this sad story. Period. He solicited sex, offered himself to the women. That's what whores do.
On the other hand, as kendu said, the women knew he was married (he probably told them he and his wife had had no sex in 3 years or so) Big Laugh And some of the girls, I'm quite sure of it, just used him for the fun of sleeping with yet another "interesting" guy ... These women were using him to satisfy their own cravings for whatever they fancied in having sex with an athlete. HE was not all that important to them; what they wanted was the encounter with a star, not the man. Poor guy! (In other words: conquests are not always what they appear to be.) No

I think all the obsession with this Tiger thing exists because he became the symbol for the "common hypocritical American husband", so to speak. Squeaky clean on the outside -- but a rotten "sinner" inside.
I kind of feel sorry for Tiger, though: Used by women, abused by the media. But -- that experience might launch him a second career as a blues singer!

"They call me Tiger, babbeee
Tiger Blue! babbee ..."

I have to agree with Kendu - this matter should be between Tiger and his Wife.

I can understand his Management wanting him to make a QUICK apology to his fan's - but there was no reason whatsoever for him to have to atone to the public in the matter which he did. We are not married to the Man!

Geez - you would think the Guy murdered somebody for the kind of atonement he stood there and made. Exclaiming Eek!

I was watching the press conference and I had it in my mind that just "Reporter's would be present at the press conference - and I notice a Woman sitting in the front row with her arms crossed - and she would not look at Tiger - and I thought to myself "This Woman is sitting there in pure disgust". Only to realize at the end of the press conference that this Woman was his Mother.

I am sorry - but in my opinion - his Mother's body language helped to set the whole tone of the press conference.

I don't know if it's Tiger or the media that I'm more tired of. Seems like we revived America's 30 second attention span on him and again have it focused on the shenanigans of the athletes and entertainers, rather than on the serious goings-on of our military, economy and other issues that matter. What happens in his private life should only be between him and his wife. Inviting the rest of America to witnes a blow-by-blow and stroke-by-stroke accounting of his exploits, rehabs and the such is only taking our attention away from the things that matter.

Tiger's story is exactly what a whole lot of people love to see. I must admit, I do like to watch the development of the affair too. It's a kind of entertainment -- reality show. And yes, ideally, it should be between Tiger and his wife, but it is naive to believe it could be. Tiger undoubtedly enjoyed his stardom as long as his idealized image was up for adoration. I guess he has to live through the negative aspects of fame now.
He could have chosen, btw. to retire to an exotic island and live of the money he made so far. He doesn't have to go along with his managers strategies. He can fire them anytime. Apparently, he loves the prospect of being back in the lime lights again -- or he would switch the spot lights off now , and leave.
The entire hype is only possible because he participates in it.

I guess it is what it is at this point. We live in a day of mass media. You could have a voice mail or picture placed on the internet and in a matter of hours it can be sent all over the world. I say media coverage has changed even from 10 years ago.

People are so thirsty for a story that they go the full mile when one hits. And I do admit that this story is interesting but not surprising to me. If we could see the other men who are doing what Tiger has done but have not gotten caught just yet it would put things into prospective more.

What Tiger did was wrong as wrong can be but at the end of the day he got his wake up call. The man is most definitely a great athlete. But he has been a spoiled brat since he was a child. If you see film of him as a kid he would be rude and obnoxious towards other people and interviewers. He was christened a prodigy, so from then until now he was use to people kissing his *** every day. But now he sees many of his fellow golfers, fans, and advertisers turning on him. I think he needed this as a wake up call.

There is one thing I respected that he said during his apology conference on Friday. He explained that he needed to have more respect for the game of golf and appreciate it more. If you all have seen when he misses shots he's known to throw his clubs, curse like a sailor, and throw tantrums. But since he was Tiger Woods no one cared.

But in the end he owes no one anything except his family. At the end of the day he's human and it entitled to mistakes. I've heard about all from the media I need to hear. Hopefully Tiger can get his personal life back in order.
