I got a newsletter from my local PBS Station - I received this info this morning:

A NOTE FROM THE EDITOR

Dear friends:

Director Quentin Tarantino named it one of his top three rock films of all time—and we've got it for you. The show features rare performances from the Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, The Supremes, Smokey Robinson, The Beach Boys and many more.

The T.A.M.I. Show: Rock 'n' Roll's First Concert Film premieres Saturday, 3/6, at 9:00 p.m.

Tune in, rock on and thanks for your support!

Check your local PBS Station to see if it is on in your area if you are interested!

Note from Mods: Thread title changed for clarification

It came on at 9:00 PM Saturday night in my area. I only watched the first hour and an half and recorded the rest because I had to get up at 4:00 AM for work and had to go to bed. This is first time since 1964 that this has been shown - except bootleg copies. It was shown in theaters in 1964. PBS remastered the original footage!

By the time you all get to see - I should have watched the balance of what I missed and we can discuss it.

I've seen this DVD at my local record shop. I may pick this up as it is a historic show. I have seen part of James Brown performance before and its a amazing performance.
